Micronesian Community Unifies and Protests Unequal Treatment by HPD

Community leaders Innocenta Sound-Kikku and Tadasy Puas wrote a clear and thoughtful open letter to Mayor Blangiardi and HPD leadership, requesting:

1) A Department of Justice investigation into the racial disparities found in the use of force by HPD

2) An investigation into the leaking of confidential juvenile information about the Sykap family

3) the ending of the HPD practice of disclosing confidential information

State and county employees will be required to show proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 by Aug. 16 or undergo weekly testing.

Employees are expected to be able to request exemptions from the vaccine requirements for medical or religious reasons.

Workers risk being fired if they refuse to comply with the requirements.
