The biggest law school event of the year is back — and this time, it’s bigger, louder, and more meaningful than ever. Rock4Justice is returning to Artistry Honolulu, bringing together judges, attorneys, and law students to raise funds for the Advocates for Public Interest Law (APIL). |
🎤 What It’s All About |
Rock4Justice isn’t just a concert — it’s a celebration of service and community. |
Retired Judge William S. Domingo and his Class of ’85 crew helped launch APIL decades ago to empower law students to serve underrepresented clients and nonprofits. |
Each year, the event raises summer stipends for students who give their time to public-interest legal work — the kind that keeps our justice system grounded in compassion and fairness.
Organizer and performer Catherine Lowenberg summed it up perfectly: |
“It’s not every day you see judges, attorneys, and law students performing together on stage — but it’s all for a cause that brings us closer to our ideals.” |
🎶 Why It Matters |
These stipends change lives — not just for the students, but for the clients and organizations they serve. |
As Lowenberg added: |
“For students truly passionate about serving the community, this funding solidifies that commitment and keeps the door open for them to give back.” |
In other words, every dollar donated becomes a bridge — between the classroom and the courtroom, between idealism and impact. |
🤝 How You Can Help |
Admission is free, but donations collected at the door directly support APIL Summer Grants. |
Want to do even more? Become an event sponsor! In past years, sponsors have enjoyed reserved seating, complimentary drink tickets, and prominent recognition at the event — plus, it’s a charitable tax write-off. |
👉 To become a sponsor: just reply back to this email, and I’ll get you hooked up with one of the event organizers so you can contribute to a great cause. |
I’m sure they will take your money if you can’t attend the event, and just want to send a check to the organization. |
🏆 Past Sponsors Rocked It |
Last year, Rock4Justice raised over $14,000 thanks to support from our community. |
